The Patagonia Winter Sale is Full of Stellar Deals | 2025

Cozy season might be in full swing (I’m writing this from under an electric blanket), but the deals at Patagonia’s winter sale make us want to head back outside. The retailer is offering discounts up to 40% off on some of its biggest sellers, including jackets, backpacks, fleeces, and more, for a limited time—and some sizes and colors have already started to sell out. If you need some layers to brave the cold or are already looking forward to hiking short season, you can find the gear you need here.

Jacket deals

Patagonia makes some of our favorite rain jackets, like the M10 Storm Jacket and the best-selling Torrentshell 3L—the former is a burly option for wet excursions, while the latter is perfect for drizzly walks and errands runs. Meanwhile, the brand’s puffers are cold weather staples. The Nano Puff Hoody is thin (but surprisingly warm) and the Tres-in-1 Parka is a waterproof shell and puffer in one toasty package.

Fleece deals

This time of year, we all deserve to be swaddled in fleece. Whether you make that happen with a fluffy quarter-zip, sleek full-zip, throwback high-pile jacket, or lightweight midlayer is up to you. My personal favorite would have to be the 2022 SELF Activewear Award–winning R1 Fleece Pullover—I wore it to boulder outside in late fall and stayed warm all day.

Bottoms deals

You can save big on hiking pants, bike shorts, trail-ready leggings, and even a cute pair of overalls during Patagonia’s winter sale. All are hiker-approved, but standouts include the Maipo shorts, which won an Activewear Award for their stretchy fabric and cute colorways; and the Caliza Rock Pants, which are some of the comfiest hiking bottoms I own (considering they’re 31% off at the moment, I should probably snag another pair).

Gear deals

I don’t need an excuse to sing the praises of my Patagonia Black Hole Pack—I’ve used it pretty much every day since 2018 and it’s still going strong—but this sale is a great reason to bring it up. If you need a solid, weather-resistant daypack or travel bag that fits more stuff than you could ever imagine, you need this backpack. (And if you prefer to travel light, consider the Black Hole Mini Hip Pack.)

Patagonia’s gear deals also include camping equipment like sleeping bags and winter accessories like beanies—and truly, you can never have too many beanies.
